Roland Garros Champions 2014

 I love clay courts, it is more enjoyable to watch at least:) Past two weeks there were amazing matches played in this tournament, i could watch some of them, but this weekend matches were superb.

Today Rafa Nadal becomes a part of tennis history by winning the trophy 9 times here! He is the king of clay for sure but winning a same Grand Slam for 9 times , it is another record that no one did in men’s tennis!!

Rafa Nadal played amazing today, i can see that he is almost unbeatable. Although he did not make a good start to clay court this year, he has found his rythm here and showed great performance. He defeated Novak Djokovic in 4 sets: 3-6, 7-5, 6-2, 6-4.

For me, i was expecting a 5 set match here. What i surprised about is Djokovic looked a bit unsure about himself. He seemed not so confident, not focused, he looked like as he just gave up mentally. I love Djokovic, i believe he will win here one day. What i care most is that his confident needs to be boosted.

Yesterday i watched Maria Sharapova- Simona Halep final match. It was one of the great matches that i have seen in the tournament. Simona Halep is a great player, very cold blooded, focused, talented and skillful player. She could have won but i think it was just a matter of being experienced. She is 22 and it was her first Grand Slam final. But she has a great potantial to become a champion.

On the other hand, Masha is a great player but she needs to stabilize her emotions during matches. When she calms down and focuses, she can beat anyone. I am happy for her that she won the title 2nd time here.

My favourite Grand Slam finished today , in 2 weeks time Wimbledon will start. I always think that it is very difficult to play in grass. Roger Federer lost here to Gulbis but i hope he will be in the final in Wimbledon.
