Second day of Australian Open 2014

 The first match i have watched today is between “Majesty” Roger Federer (6) vs James Duckworth. As everybody knows Federer has all the supports of the audience any tournament  in world that he goes to play. He is loved so much by tennis audience and he deserves it till the end. I am a big big fan of him. I can say that he is the maestro, he is the king of tennis. Although his draw is tough, first round match is no surprise for him to win. The opponent is Aussie but it did not stop audience to shout for Federer. For the first time, Stefan Edberg is in the player box for Federer. It is very early now to talk about his impact on him but we will see what contributions he can make to his game. Fedex had an easy match here in first round and took the match in 3 sets: 6-4, 6-4, 6-2.

Today i had a chance to watch one and a half set of Andreas Seppi vs Lleyton Hewitt match. I really love Hewitt, he is the definition of the passionate fighter. He shows us everytime that being succesful is not about ranking, not about  winning all the time, it is about the spirit, it is about loving the game. He gives that feeling so directly to us and it is not possible not to support him. He is so brave, never gives up and  a real warrior. On the other hand, Anderas Seppi is a great player, has a good techinique, cold blooded and very diciplined one. The match so exciting, i could watch from the 4th set, Hewitt’s performance was so impressive , after losing first two sets he could manage the carry the match in the fifth. In the fifth set, once he had a chance for he match point but he could not take it. After that Seppi’s attitude was great, he could really control the pressure and the stress and be the one who achieved to reach the 2.round. I wish that Hewitt would win the match but not happened unfortunately.

In the evening session, everyone including me was waiting the match of Rafa Nadal vs Bernard Tomic. Tomic is not a kind of player that  like. I like players with an attitude that shows respect both for the game and the rivals. Tomic had many unfortunate interviews about his rivals including Federer. Anyway i was sure that Rafa will take care of him and i started to watch the game. But Tomic was looking very uncomfortable at the beginning of the game. After the first set losing to Rafa 6-4, he just stop playing for he leg injury and withdrawn from the tournament. Even his crowd made a bad reaction to him, but Rafa Nadal supported him and said that it was a though sitiuation and he did the good thing for himself. It was good for Rafa, he did not get tired that much and gone to second round.

I also watched Andy Murray today. He looked so good but ofcourse the opponent is always important while examining the performance of a player. But he looked confident and good about himself which is so important for him. He is a bit more emotional than any other man in the ATP.

Second day also Wozniacki, Radwanska, Sharapova, J.M. Del Porto, Tsonga, Monfils, Azerenka won their matches and go to the second round. Tomorrow i am planning to watch Djokovic, Wawrinka, T. Berdych, S. Williams and David Ferrer on court.
