Dubai 500 Masters Final Match: Federer vs Berdych

 Tonight i am watching the final match between Czech Tomas Berdych (6) and Roger Federer (8) from Switzerland. Yesterday Roger Federer performed a great tennis here and defeat Djokovic in 3 sets. Last years’s runner-up Tomas Berdych is for sure so eager to win this year in the final.

These two players are both very qualified and dangereous, i think we will watch a really exciting match. Players faced with each other 17 times before, Federer leads 11-6 in the series although latest match was written to Berdych’s scorecard.

Federer finds the early break in the 3th game of the opener, as because Berych is making so much unforced errors in his forehand side so far, his service broke in love game. This could be an advantage for Federer but he keeps doing same mistakes so Berdych has broken back and score 2-2 in the first set.

In the first set Berdych has broken Federer’s service once more for a 5-2 lead. Federer’s backhands are not working so good and also his service performance is not as good as yesterday. Considering the fact that he had a tiring match last night and he is 32 years-old, Federer has to take the first set to make things easier for him.He has to break Berdych’s service game. But Berdych said NO. He holds his service and takes the first set 6-3.

Yesterday Federer couldn’t make a good start to the match but somehow he managed to turn it to his favour. I wonder if he can do that again.

It is obvious that having a good serve is the key to win. If you have trouble with your services, it is almost impossible to win a match against a good player. Federer’s services are not good enough so far, he is making forehand mistakes as well as backhands. It is not a good sign for him.

Berdych looks more focus and determined than Federer in the game. His game is more consistent so far. Players mutually broke services, score is 3-3 now in the second set.

Federer makes his move at the most important game of the set and break Berdych’s service, takes the second set 6-4. He has found his rythm now! Audience is screaming for him!!!

Although Berdych has shown a great resist and saved an early break in the decider, Federer kept pushing him and has found the break in the 3th game of the 3.set for a 4-1 lead. After this point it looks hard for Tomas Berdych to come back but when it comes to tennis everything is possible.

Berdych has a strong mind, he has saved 2 championship point in his service and could manage to hold his game. Federer has played good enough to win the match( 3-6, 6-4, 6-3) and the 6th championship in Dubai. I really don’t like seeing Federer lose , so tonight i am so happy that he wins another cup again. I hope this year he will win more titles.
