Monte Carlo Rolex Masters Quarter Final Matches

Today i watched all of the quarter final matches in Monte Carlo. First match of the day was between Stanislas Wawrinka and Canadian Milos Raonic. Stan is having a great season so far including a Grand Slam title this year. His opponent Raonic is a good player but when i think about his game there is still way he has to go to force the top players.

Both players started solid and balanced. Wawrinka managed to take to first set after a tie- break. After losing the first set, Raonic lost his resistance, i guess it is the most significant feature that top players have. They somehow manage to come back even when they lose. Wawrinka took the second set 6-2 and be the first semi-finalist.

Second match of the day was incredible. I love Spanish players. They have passion and Spaniards have a great culture of tennis. David Ferrer is a great player, hard worker and skillful. On the other hand Rafa Nadal is the king of clay and i always say he is a treasure for tennis. This match had great rallies.  Tennis is such a game  that your opponent makes you play better or worse. David Ferrer is a kind of player that you have to be better. I think he is the player of the day to beat Rafa Nadal after 10 years! ( 7-6, 6-4) They played 26 times before and Nadal won 21 of them. Match was very enjoyable for  tennis fans , Ferrer was better than Nadal today. Rafa needs time to get his best form.  Ferrer will play against Wawrinka in the semis.

I love Roger Federer very much! So i hate seeing him lose. Mostly he face Jo-Wilfred Tsonga in the tournaments in the QF. I like Tsonga, today he played better in the first set. When Federer lost the first set, i was not sure if he could come back but he did it with his great tennis skills, his master mind and his patience. After 3 sets 2-6, 7-6, 6-1. Tie-break in the 2.set was the destiny of the match, Tsonga lost his all focus when he lost it and third set was easy for Federer.

Spaniards are natural clay players and they are very succesful about it. When world number 2 Novak Djokovic draws Guillermo Garcia- Lopez from Spain, i thought that it won’t be easy. First set was like a shock for Nole, written on the scorecard to Garcia-Lopez 6-4. In the second set, Djokovic found out where he should send the balls. I must say that Garcia-Lopez played very good but he could not manage to get the points in critic moments. Djokovic defeats his opponent. 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

In the semi final Djokovic will play Federer. Although i love Djokovic, i want Federer win! I would love to watch Wawrinka- Federer final, it would be interesting!
