Great Swiss Final at Monte Carlo Rolex Masters

My wish has come true and two Swiss faced with each other today at Monte Carlo. As much as i am a big Roger Federer fan, i like Stanislas Wawrinka too. He is such a great player and also a very humble man. I like his personality and his attitudes in the court. Two guys are very good friends, team mates for Davis cup and before match they warmed-up together!

Stan stayed back of Federer for a very long time. It is not easy to recover it from. So the first set Stan was a bit anxious and could not make his great shots as he did before so Federer kept the chance and took the set 6-4.

Second set he was sharp and more confident about himself. Lets remember that Federer leads 13-1 up for previous matches. Set went to tie-break and Stan showed a great perfomance and took the second set 7-6.

As remembering Stan’s performance this week, i must say that he played like “Stanimal” and deserved to win all his matches. He played like a storm against a very skillfull clay player David Ferrer in the semis. When he got the 2.set and boost his confidence, i understood that he will take the title. He made great shots with his great backhands and his forehands were much better from the 2.set.

When the match expanded to the decider, it would be disadvantage for Federer. He is a real Maestro for tennis. He made some shots during the match that can be showed as a lesson in tennis clubs! But it was not enough to stop Stanislas Wawrinka today.

He deserved this win very much and won the match by 2 sets to one : 4-6, 7-6, 6-2. Stan wins his first 1000 Masters title here . Congragulations: Stan the Man!
