Monte Carlo Rolex Masters

I mostly like clay courts in tennis. It feels me like that court also has a spirit and challenge in it. Clay season is open now and one of the best courts by view is in Monte Carlo. 

Today i watch 3 second round matches: Roger Federer passes the 3rd round very easily beating Radek Stepanek 6-1, 6-2. Federer has not won this tournament yet maybe this year he can win, he looks very fit today.

Rafael Nadal, for me, the best player in clay played against Teymuraz Gabashvili from Russia today. In the first set, Gabashvili broke Nadal’s serve very surprisingly and played good enough to bring the score 4-4 but Rafa found a way to break his opponent’s resistance and took the first set 6-4. second set was easiser for Nadal, he won the match 6-4, 6-2.

The fastest match of the day was between Stanislas Wawrinka and Marin Cilic from Croatia. It was just like a training match for Stan , as he took the first set in 18 minutes and the all match took only 45 minutes 6-0, 6-2. Stan has a great performance from beginning of the year and looks so good today but neverthless it is a great dissappoinmet for Cilic. He was just like on court for a training partner for him. As looking statistics of the match, it explains everything: While Stan earned 22 winners, Cilic got only 6. For unforced errors Cilic made 20 while Stan had only 7. This is crystal clear statistics to understand the match of the day.

I am very very excited to watch any draw like Nadal- Federer, Wawrinka- Djokovic vice versa.
